We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with a background in electric motors and pumps to join our growing team in Hartford, CT
.

This is a field-based position that combines hands-on technical work with customer interaction. You will travel to customer locations to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical industrial equipment while providing professional service and clear communication.

• Install, inspect, service, and repair electric motors and pump systems at customer locations
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in field environments
• Perform preventive maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Document service work, parts used, findings, and recommendations
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service findings and maintenance recommendations
• Follow all safety procedures and comply with REM Industrial standards and OSHA regulations
• Coordinate with internal teams to support parts procurement and timely completion of jobs

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, or a related field is a plus
• 2+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial motors and pumps
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and work from technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel locally or regionally as needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
