Role Description This on-site Electrician role is based in the Greater Connecticut area and is a full-time position. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings, following technical drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. Day-to-day tasks include running conduit and wiring, setting up panels and fixtures, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing tests to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
The role also involves working with a team on job sites, coordinating with supervisors and other trades, maintaining tools and materials, and completing required documentation. The Electrician is expected to follow company safety protocols and local regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams, and to work from project plans and specifications.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical issues, using testing equipment, and performing accurate repairs in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and safety standards relevant to commercial and industrial environments.
- Capability to work safely on ladders, lifts, and in various site conditions, including lifting materials and using hand and power tools.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades on-site.
- Valid electrician license or apprenticeship status in Connecticut (or ability to obtain), and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to job sites in Greater Hartford.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal electrical training or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Commitment to punctuality, professional conduct, and delivering consistent, quality work in a fast-paced project environment.
