As a Mobile Equipment Service Technician, you will serve as a vital technical expert, ensuring the operational readiness and safety of complex heavy-duty machinery. You will leverage your expertise in hydraulics and electrical systems to diagnose issues, minimize downtime, and deliver high-quality maintenance solutions directly to our clients.
About the RoleAs a Mobile Equipment Service Technician, you will serve as a vital technical expert, ensuring the operational readiness and safety of complex heavy-duty machinery. You will leverage your expertise in hydraulics and electrical systems to diagnose issues, minimize downtime, and deliver high-quality maintenance solutions directly to our clients.
Responsibilities- Execute complex repairs and advanced troubleshooting on articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, and diverse heavy-duty industrial equipment.
- Drive equipment reliability by performing rigorous preventive maintenance schedules and comprehensive annual safety inspections.
- Provide critical on-site support for emergency repairs, ensuring rapid restoration of equipment functionality.
- Act as a technical liaison by clearly communicating repair needs and status updates to fleet managers and site supervisors.
- Maintain precise service records, including work order documentation, parts inventory management, and labor tracking.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining a professional and organized mobile workspace.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically with heavy equipment or lifting systems.
- Advanced proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in diverse weather conditions, including lifting 75lbs+ and working in varied positions.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid CDL within 60 days.
- Strong commitment to professional communication and technical documentation.
- Documented experience with welding and structural metal repair.
- Prior certification or specialized training in crane or aerial lift maintenance.
- Strong background in customer-facing technical support roles.
- Proven ability to manage independent workflows and prioritize urgent service requests.
