The Residential Support Specialist is a responsible individual who supervises residents during assigned hours and, under the direct supervision of the Program Manager or designee, coordinates and facilitates social programs and groups for residents.

• Responsible for supervision and safety of residents in all daily activities, including monitoring as required, room safety checks, providing orientation and responding to all requests and emergencies.
• Maintains all necessary documentation on client activity during shift.
• Conducts individual and group social‑rehabilitation and care coordination activities.
• May be required to transport clients in personal or agency vehicle.
• In the event of staff shortage, may be required to work past scheduled hours until relief staff can be found.
• Perform other related tasks as required.

All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings.

All Residential Support Staff Employees MUST show proof of CPR certification within 60 days of official start date.

Monday and Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field or high school diploma (GED).
• A current active CNA/MA Certification for the State of Connecticut, Peer Support Specialist Certification, and 3 years of experience in residential setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of substance abuse and/or mental health treatment.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).
