Job Title:

SUPPORTIVE Housing Manager

Reports to:

Director of Programs

Salaried Exempt

Position Summary:

The Supportive Housing Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the permanent supportive housing programs.

Qualifications:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, human services or related field and 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Commitment to Person-Centered, and Consumer-Choice models of care
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Compassionate concern for those who are homeless
  • Experience providing direct supervision to staff
  • Valid driver's license, insurance and reliable means of transportation required
  • Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) (preferred)
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with computers and proficient typing skills
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork and maintain employee files
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform basic office job tasks and lift up to 40 pounds.

Working Conditions:

This position oversee daily operations of permanent supportive housing programs; time in the office completing paperwork and maintaining employee and client files; conducting bi-weekly staff meetings, supervision & trainings; and meeting with other service providers as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supervision of Permanent Supportive Housing Case Managers, the Housing Location Specialist and the Peer Advocate
  • Arrange the scheduling of direct reports to meet the needs of clients and agency operations
  • Provide a welcoming environment and a culture of positive staff development
  • Enforce compliance of agency policies
  • Assist the Director of Programs with reports and program audits
  • Participate in Coordinated Access Network meetings as requested by the Director of Programs
  • Ensure safety of staff, clients, and visitors
  • Maintain program statistics, such as general program demographics, utilization, rent status, case manager productivity, client income source, and incidents of all types
  • Manage Quality Assurance to ensure high-quality service delivery in compliance with all funder requirements
  • Collaborate on the maintenance of housing client's apartments with Housing Location Specialist
  • Collaborate on the distribution of household goods to clients with Housing Case Manager s
  • Be knowledgeable regarding resources and issues affecting our target population
  • Other duties as needed/assigned
