Senior Software Engineer; SDLC, GenAI

Position: Senior Software Engineer (SDLC, GenAI)
* The position is for a Senior Software Engineer within the PI Engineering chapter, focused on developing tools and processes as part of the SDLC+ (Software Development Lifecycle) effort to enhance efficiency. The role involves identifying new best practices within the SDLC, creating tools (utilizing various forms of automation including GenAI), and coaching/mentoring PI members across all job families in using these tools and processes.

The effort will also involve engagement with the enterprise to help drive strategic direction. This role will also have high visibility within PI leadership based on the impact of the work being completed
* Perform complex analysis, advanced level design, configuration and develop functions for impactful and high-visibility tasks.
* Take the lead on directing and implementing solutions to moderately complex, loosely scoped problems that are aligned with team goals.
* Deliver efforts both independently and by leading other team members.
* Lead investigation and resolution efforts for critical, high impact problems, defects, and incidents.
* Act as a technology advocate, independently seeking opportunities where technology can be utilized to improve the business.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship while fostering a team environment.
* Apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions within the context of assigned efforts.
* Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.

* Familiarity with AI based tooling would be ideal.
* Understanding of outcome driven product development.
* Effective communication skills, both within and outside of engineering, to collaborate with all SDLC participants (product owners, scrum masters, quality engineering, leadership, etc).
* Aptitude and enthusiasm to learn.
* Solid technical background (in a subset of programming/architecture methodologies) and problem-solving ability.
* Understanding and practice of Agile methodologies.
* Motivated self-starter who can grow into a leader within the team and help set/drive outcomes.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
* 6 additional years of software engineering experience.
