The Platform Automation Engineer will be responsible for building and fine-tuning Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, automating manual processes to support the agency, monitoring production operations, and collaborating with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate must be willing to learn and adapt to new platforms, tools, and technologies as the organization evolves. If the platform stack changes or new solutions are introduced, the Platform Automation Engineer will be expected to acquire proficiency and provide training or support to the team on these changes within a reasonable period of time.
ResponsibilitiesInclude
- Architect, develop, implement, and manage robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes to facilitate efficient software delivery.
- Manage Git and Bit Bucket processes as a version control system.
- Design, develop and maintain secure automated solutions across platforms that eliminate repetitive tasks, optimize business processes, enhance operational productivity, and speed up workflow.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies with the goal of improving efficiency, and present well-supported recommendations for their adoption and implementation.
- Collaborate with operations, architecture, development, and quality assurance teams to identify automation opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional team members, fostering professional growth and promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor Dev Ops and platform workflows to resolve observed or reported issues, and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Utilize Agile methodology to participate in sessions such as refinement, deployments, and retrospectives.
- Create and maintain documentation and knowledge sharing for automated solutions and automation best practices.
- Collaborate with State of Connecticut Dev Ops, Cloud and Application Engineering teams.
The CT Paid Leave Authority is a quasi-governmental agency formed by statute and signed into law in 2019. Its mission is to help Connecticut’s workforce navigate health challenges and life changes with greater financial security. Through a trust funded by workers, the Authority makes benefits payments to eligible workers when the worker takes a leave from work to care for themselves or a family member.
