We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology organization seeking a Senior Azure AI Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade cloud and AI solutions within a commercial insurance environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer with strong expertise in Azure AI services, C#/.NET development, and cloud infrastructure who enjoys building scalable, production-grade systems.
About the RoleYou will design, build, and deploy cloud-native applications and AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance systems in a regulated enterprise environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
Build and integrate solutions using Azure AI services including Azure OpenAI and related services
Develop scalable cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
Design and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver production-ready systems
Ensure performance, security, and reliability of applications deployed in Azure
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for software quality
7+ years of software engineering experience
7+ years of experience working in the Commercial Insurance domain
Strong hands-on experience with:
Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI or similar)
C# and .NET
API design and backend development
Microsoft Azure cloud services
Experience with
Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Bicep, ARM, or TerraformStrong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work onsite in Hartford, CT
Experience working in agile environments or scaled agile frameworks
Experience with Angular or modern frontend frameworks
Experience with SQL or relational databases
Property & Casualty insurance experience is a plus
