The Department of Children and Families relies on core mission-critical applications, CT-KIND and IV-E, Connecticut's Federally-reimbursed SACWIS (Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System). Implemented in 1996, SACWIS is available on every desktop and used by over 2,000 social workers and case managers. The application has been enhanced continually to meet data capture and process functionality requirements driven by best child welfare case practice as well as State and Federal legislation and statute.
LINK continues to evolve in compliance with the 1991 Juan
F. Consent Decree and the agency's goal of improving the safety, permanency and well-being of children in care. The agency is committed to developing the next generation Comprehensive Child Welfare information system (CCWIS) and has invested significant resources to provide efficient, economic, and effective tools for Connecticut's child welfare staff, providers and families.
The agency needs a senior level Full Stack Salesforce Developer to participate in various SDLC processes, including requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance and support per agency management direction. The focus will be supporting existing custom Salesforce applications and participating in the SDLC of the new CT-KIND system, working with the System Integrator to ensure knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance of a given module.
SpecificServices Required

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Design and develop Salesforce APEX, Lightning pages, and Visual Force pages.
- Full stack development:
Salesforce, OOP, CRUD, design patterns, SOQL configuration. - Advanced knowledge of Salesforce development (OOP, design patterns).
- Provide analysis and requirements for application integration.
- Work on all phases of SDLC and create/maintain required technical documentation.
An experienced professional with 10 or more years of prior experience, demonstrating the following knowledge and skills:
- Salesforce (minimum 5 years): code APEX, OOP and design patterns.
- .NET OOP and SOA.
- JavaScript frameworks preferred.
- SQL.
- End-to-end web development.
- Agile development methodology (expert, 10+ years).
- Microsoft .NET Framework (expert, 10+ years).
- Responsive design patterns (expert, 10+ years).
- Web services and Windows services (expert, 10+ years).
- C# (expert, 10+ years).
- JavaScript (expert, 10+ years).
- Presentation skills (advanced, 7-9 years).
- Teamwork (advanced, 7-9 years).
- Design patterns (expert, 10+ years).
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours - Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
State Resources and Oversight: DCF IS Management.
