Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Architect for AI and Emerging Technology Architecture who will collaborate with senior technology and business leaders to architect AI systems that drive business value while maintaining ethical standards.
Responsibilities- Apply expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI systems to architect scalable, production‑grade AI solutions across the enterprise.
- Provide consulting expertise to division and domain architects, driving architecture alignment across lines of business and establishing an enterprise AI solutions architecture practice.
- Align AI platform capabilities to strategic needs of business groups—LLM selection, RAG pipelines, memory systems, tool/function‑calling patterns—promoting reusability and responsible AI design.
- Help establish governance, risk, and control processes ensuring safe, compliant, and sustainable AI deployments (EU AI Act, GDPR, NAIC, NIST AI RMF).
- Track and communicate evolving AI platform roadmap, insights, and opportunities that complement enterprise initiatives.
- Bridge complex AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, build consensus, and foster a knowledge‑sharing culture.
- Lead technology proof‑of‑concepts, assess industry trends, conduct hands‑on prototyping, and drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology‑related field or equivalent, with 8 to 10 years of architecture experience.
- Advanced architecture and recent hands‑on engineering experience with modern technologies, successful execution of large‑scale strategies.
- Strong leadership and cross‑functional influence skills.
- Experience in agile operational models, transformational change, and ability to adjust plans in response to changing circumstances.
- Experience developing technology target states and roadmaps aligned to business goals.
- Knowledge of insurance industry preferred.
- Proven track record defining scalable AI systems; extensive experience with AI/ML development and deployment, MLOps, AI Ops, and CI/CD for AI/ML systems.
- Hands‑on experience with generative AI foundation—transformer architectures, LLMs, diffusion models, prompts, fine‑tuning, RLHF.
- Experience with multimodal AI systems, autonomous AI systems, planning, reinforcement learning.
- Hands‑on experience with agentic patterns and orchestration frameworks (Lang Chain, Strands, Crew AI).
- Experience with cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock; optional Azure or GCP.
- Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, responsible AI practices, and regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, GDPR).
- 7 additional years of architecture/software engineering experience.
- 2 years of technical leadership experience.
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and probability theory.
