Introduction
The State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is seeking a Lead Salesforce Developer (Information Technology Analyst
3) to oversee the maintenance and operations of Salesforce (Gov Cloud Plus) for the Department of Social Services (DSS) – Micro Apps Team.

- Location:
Hartford.
- Translate business requirements into Salesforce solutions, leveraging integrations.
- Act as the Salesforce technical expert and provide design direction to the team.
- Design and implement solutions following Salesforce best practices and introducing new technologies when necessary.
- Build and optimize dashboards, reports and visualizations (heat maps, geographic maps, drill‑downs, drill‑throughs) for IVR and contact center needs.
- Analyze AWS Connect, Salesforce and data streams to develop accurate analytical datasets and ensure reporting consistency across systems.
- Design, test and modify Salesforce integrations with contact center systems.
- Develop end‑to‑end Salesforce solutions, including APEX, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, external data integrations and middleware such as Mule Soft.
- Automate business processes using Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules and email alerts.
- Estimate work effort, determine resource needs and create schedules.
- Participate in peer code reviews and unit testing.
- Mentor and guide staff, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Provide application support, analyze defects, replicate and fix defects, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Seven (7) years of experience in IT operations, programming, systems/software development, or a related field.
- One (1) year of that experience must involve full‑professional, complex technical support, including design, implementation and management of communications networks, WAN or mini‑computer systems, and systems applications.
- Experience with Salesforce declarative development (Process Builder, Workflow Rules, Lightning App Builder).
- Experience with Salesforce programming (Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Apex, SOQL, SOSL).
- Experience with Mule Soft and Salesforce APIs, security configuration, sharing rules and user management.
- Experience with Agile development, REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth, SSO, and CI/CD deployment processes.
