A consulting organization supporting enterprise insurance clients is seeking a Senior Azure AI / .NET Engineer to design, build, and support cloud-native applications leveraging Microsoft Azure and AI services. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with deep backend expertise, hands‑on Azure experience, and a strong understanding of commercial insurance systems.
Position OverviewThe Senior Azure AI / .NET Engineer will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, integrating Azure AI capabilities, and supporting enterprise‑grade insurance platforms. This role combines modern cloud engineering, API development, and applied AI within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using C# .NET
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs supporting commercial insurance workflows
- Implement AI‑enabled features using Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI and Azure Foundry
- Develop and deploy solutions across Azure services including Container Apps, API Management, App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, and SQL Managed Instance
- Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
- Collaborate with agile teams to deliver features across release trains
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and documentation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Commercial Insurance
- 8–10 years of overall software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in C# .NET and API design and development
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Cloud services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working on agile teams and release trains
- Familiarity with SAFe frameworks
- Experience with Angular and front‑end integrations
- Strong SQL experience
- Property & Casualty insurance experience
Pay Rate: $43 per hour
