Software Engineer II – AI Assistant Enablement

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions for technical requirements of intermediate complexity.
• Collaborate across teams to analyze, assess, and contribute to the design of complex solutions, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Technical Skills Expert-level proficiency in Python , including experience with modern frameworks and best practices.
• React UI development skills for creating intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
• Solid SQL knowledge with hands-on PostgreSQL experience preferred.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure services and architecture.
• Experience with generative AI technologies, including working knowledge of GenAI model strengths and weaknesses, experience implementing LLM applications using frameworks such as Lang Chain , Strands, or Microsoft Agent Framework, and the ability to integrate AI capabilities into production applications.
• Working knowledge of Agentic Harness components.
• Understanding of prompt engineering techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with vector databases for semantic search applications.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles and appropriate guardrails.
• Core Competencies Four plus years of software development experience.

  - Intermediate delivery skills including the ability to estimate accurate timelines for tasks and deliver work at a steady, predictable pace to achieve commitments, contribute to the software design strategy and methodologies used to best meet system requirements, consider and build for many different use cases, avoid over-engineering, ensure automation, deliver complete solutions in small batches, and identify and negotiate important tradeoffs.

  - Demonstrated track record of domain expertise including understanding technical concepts necessary to do the job effectively and awareness of industry trends, willingness and concern for business issues and priorities, and in-depth knowledge of immediate systems with some knowledge of adjacent systems.

  - Strong problem solver who ensures solutions are built for the long term, is able to resolve new issues, recognizes mistakes as learning and teaching opportunities, and consistently breaks down large problems into smaller, more manageable ones.

• What is a Must Have? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience. 4 additional years of software engineering experience.
