Overview
Noblis has provided specialized engineering, acquisition, and program management services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for over 25 years. We seek passionate professionals to contribute expertise to advance the National Airspace System and support next‑generation air traffic management and surveillance systems.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and deploy computer software solutions.
- Conduct feasibility analysis, problem definition, requirements development, and solution development.
- Document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
- Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
- Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
- Follow the software development lifecycle to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Apply Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies to ensure efficient and iterative development processes.
- Design and develop cloud‑hosted solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure), ensuring scalability, security, and performance optimization.
- Utilize database solutions such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Oracle.
- Emphasize user experience and human factors in the software design process to ensure intuitive, user‑friendly, and Section 508 accessible solutions.
- Successfully pass an FAA background investigation/verification and receive a successful final suitability determination.
- Proven experience in software design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Strong background in systems analysis and requirements development.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and tools, including Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Experience with Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile development.
- Knowledge of modern cloud and database solutions and platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- U.S. citizen or green card permanent resident who has resided in the U.S. for 3+ years.
- Travel required as per project.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or Business Administration.
- 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree or MBA in related field may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience.
- PhD in related field may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
- Compensation Ranges: $94,590 – $218,475.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or Business Administration.
- 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree or MBA in related field may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience.
- PhD in related field may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
- Compensation Ranges: $71,010 – $123,300.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or Business Administration.
- 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree or MBA in related field may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience.
- PhD in related field may substitute for bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience.
- Compensation Ranges: $58,680 – $123,300.
