CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver for Freshpoint, located in Hartford, CT (requires driving to New York City).

Work schedule:

Tuesday to Saturday with start times between 12AM and 3AM;
Sunday and Monday off. Base pay starts at $65,000 with potential to earn up to $78,000 based on performance and experience, along with incentive and bonus opportunities. Commences duty with a first‑day eligibility that aligns with the month following the 31‑day certification period from hire date.

• Run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading product at each stop in the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager.
• Operate in a cross‑dock model: pick up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and return the empty truck to the assigned lot at route end.
• Assist occasionally with loading trucks, palletizing product, and other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Provide customer service, verifying deliveries, obtaining signatures, and handling discrepancies or complaints professionally.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and comply with DOT regulations and Sysco policies.
• Transport product in all weather conditions, using ramps, stairs, or docks as needed.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1–75pounds, occasionally up to 100pounds, and reach up to 72in to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid ClassA CDL with a clean driving record.
• Background check and drug screen clearance required.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficient for public interaction, highway sign comprehension, and official reporting.
• Physical ability to lift, push, or move product averaging 40–60pounds, up to 100pounds.
• Willow to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of route delivery experience (preferred 1 year).
• Minimum 6 months experience with hand cart/hand truck and Food & Beverage handling (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of consistent work history (preferred).
