Position OverviewWe are hiring a Light & Medium Duty Technician. This mid‑level Technician will perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties as assigned. The role requires creativity, self‑management, effective decision‑making, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities- Perform DOT inspections and maintain all required documentation.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections for light and medium‑duty vehicles.
- Execute light mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic diagnostics and repairs.
- Participate in scheduled safety training and remain current on protocols.
- Document work on Repair Orders, uploading pictures and parts used via the proprietary application.
- Communicate with management, Dispatch, and customers via Microsoft Office, email or phone.
- Comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company safety policies.
- Obtain parts from approved vendors and manage parts inventory on the service truck.
- Complete DOT and other required forms accurately and timely.
- Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks independently.
- Provide customer service, assess needs, and resolve issues.
- Adhere to company procedures and safety procedures.
- Analyze diagnostic data using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
- High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years’ experience in a related field (light & heavy duty preferred). Candidates may have alternative certifications or up to 5 years’ experience.
- Must possess a complete set of hand tools needed for the role.
- Must successfully complete a DOT pre‑employment background check and DOT physical (or provide a valid DOT medical card with at least 4 months remaining).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Safe driver with a clean motor vehicle record. 3 year MVR review required.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
- $1,500 New Hire Bonus – 50 % after 30 days and 50 % after 180 days.
