Position Title

Reports To

Position Summary

This position manages on‑site coordination for all phases of the projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that drawings & specifications are being strictly followed, and that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Lead the direction of the jobsite.
  • Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Manage carpenters, laborers, and other personnel on job sites, participating in employee feedback and evaluations.
  • Perform quality control responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Ensure subcontractors fully execute and comply with the contracted scope of work.
  • Maintain continuous communication with the project team (Owner, A/E, Subcontractors) regarding schedules and critical issues.
  • Keep all construction documents up to date, check dimensions and details, document changes, review shop drawings and as‑builts.
  • Keep a weekly schedule and develop a 3‑to‑4‑week look‑ahead schedule.
  • Ensure subcontractors stay on track, confirming delivery time frames for materials.
  • Develop punch lists before subcontractors complete work, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and good workmanship.
  • Document and record safety issues; hold a weekly safety meeting.
  • Control costs related to material schedule and T&M slips, staying within budget scope.
  • Submit daily reports on invoices and tool rentals.
  • Maintain timesheets for employees on the jobsite.
  • Classify vendor invoices related to the job.
  • Cross‑train personnel to increase knowledge of MEP.
  • Perform superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously.
  • Resolve conflicts between subcontractors and vendors.
  • Handle difficult or emotional customer situations, respond promptly to customer needs, and meet commitments.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, fostering teamwork to accomplish work.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will supervise all subcontractors, vendors, laborers, and carpenters on a daily basis to ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and that compliant work is performed.

Hiring Requirements / Preferences
  • Minimum of 5‑10 years of verifiable experience on a commercial construction site.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proficiency with Procore; HH2 software experience preferred.
  • Proficient at reading blueprints.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work.
  • Self‑starter.
