About This Role

The Service Manager will lead field technicians and operations professionals to efficiently execute planned maintenance, repair, overhaul, and installation projects, exceeding customer expectations and meeting revenue and margin targets. The ideal candidate should understand the commercial air conditioning business, including relationship management, talent development, field operations, and safety. The role is based in or around Southern New Hampshire, Northern Massachusetts, Vermont, or Maine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Service & Optimization guidelines and best practices are followed.
  • Proactively identify actions, perform offline tasks assigned in DMBs, and report blockers to improve KPI performance and field operations.
  • Participate in daily DMB meetings, discussing KPI progress and improvement actions.
  • Maintain environmental, health, and safety compliance and train all employees for a safe work environment.
  • Review work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy and manage accounts receivable efficiently.
  • Resolve warranty issues, product recalls, operational problems, and premature failures for products and equipment serviced.
  • Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of personnel based on skill level, efficiency, and training.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train technicians to meet workload and customer expectations.
  • Meet with customers in the service territory to ensure satisfaction, retention, and identify opportunities for additional service.
  • Supervise field technicians in equipment repair, maintenance, start‑up, and operation to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Forecast, monitor, and document financial performance against plan.
  • Prioritize and resolve issues encountered by the team.
  • Manage the team according to established programs and objectives.
  • Collect customer feedback and maintain strong relationships.
  • Address key customer complaints and conduct satisfaction investigations to implement improvement plans.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the commercial HVAC industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience managing or leading a team of technicians.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Technical aptitude, understanding of local building codes, and ability to develop solutions using available resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience navigating Salesforce, Service Max, ERP, and other business applications.
Pay Range

The annual salary for this position ranges from $79,000 to $158,000, depending on skills, experience, education, and other qualifications.

Other Compensation

Short‑term cash incentives may be awarded subject to plan requirements.
