Quad’s Hartford facility is seeking Day Shift Part‑Time General Laborers to join our growing team! This is an excellent opportunity to learn the printing process from the ground up in a progressive, high‑tech manufacturing environment. Many employees who start in this role advance into full‑time Machine Operator positions
, making this an ideal entry point for individuals seeking long‑term career growth.

This position follows a 2‑3‑2 rotating day shift schedule
, and applicants must be able to commit to one of the following:

• Tuesday, Wednesday & every other Sunday (7 AM – 7 PM)
• Thursday, Friday & every other Sunday (7 AM – 7 PM)

• Starting wages: $17.50 (based on experience and employment history)

Part‑time General Laborer roles at Quad serve as a primary feeder pool for advancement into Machine Operator positions
. Employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and mechanical aptitude can move into:

• Full‑time Skilled Machine Operator roles
• Production leadership opportunities

Quad invests in training and provides a clear pathway for motivated individuals to grow their careers in manufacturing and printing.

• Remove finished product from bindery equipment
• Stack, organize, bundle, or transfer products onto pallets, tables, or into collator hoppers/mail bags
• Move product using hand jacks, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lifts, or forklifts (training provided)
• Follow all quality, safety, and production guidelines
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Assist with special handwork, and customer‑specific requests
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Printing, factory, or mechanical experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read/write measurements
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer/touchscreen skills
• Ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist movements
• Ability to lift 10–20 lbs regularly and handle materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to move materials from pallets (up to 48') to work surfaces (42')
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment
• Strong teamwork and independent‑work capabilities
