The Position
The Warehouse Generalist’s primary responsibilities are receiving inbound orders, performing inventory movements, expediting, and mixing for production orders, and staging and loading finished goods transfer orders to the third‑party logistics partner warehouses. These tasks may be performed at either the Merlin or Avalon warehouse locations. They are expected to maintain a high degree of focus on quality and accuracy when inspecting, receiving, transferring, and expediting ingredients, packaging, and finished goods to achieve efficiency targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Reviews and inspects all incoming ingredients and packaging and validates against provided documentation to vendor information in ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) system.
- Performs quality checks and production tracking via Redzone Production and Compliance module.
- Verifies quantity and lot information when receiving finished goods production pallets and while staging and loading 3PL outbound trailers.
- Performs necessary inventory adjustments, cycle counts, and product disposition based on established procedures.
- Stores, rotates, and expediates raw ingredients, packaging, staged production batches in adherence to Food Safety protocols, including but not limited to expiration dates, ready‑to‑eat classification, allergen control, non‑GMO, and organic requirements in both warehouses.
- Validates product orders while expediting and batching, ensuring lot code and quality of ingredients are accurate and pulled/mixed at correct weights.
- Works in production and food‑contact room as needed performing certain Production Generalist I or II functions.
- Operates internal delivery vehicles transporting pallets of material to and from Avalon and Merlin warehouses as well as various types of powered lift equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong basic math skills in calculating formula percentages, production batch weights, inbound pallet weight accuracy, and ingredient weight additions.
- Understanding and ability to work with computers and various software programs.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc., safely.
- Ability to demonstrate capability and articulate how prior experiences will help transition into this role.

Pay$19.25 to $21.71 per hour worked; commensurate with experience.
