We are seeking an entry level and dependable candidate to join our Quality Technician team. This position is ideally suited for candidates who recently graduated from a vocational or high-school technical program, as well those who are interested in starting a rewarding career in advanced manufacturing. No prior experience is necessary, only a willingness to learn and grow within our organization.
The Quality Technician-Entry Level is responsible for ensuring that products and materials meet quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities- Learn to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and applicable quality standards.
- Learn to and perform dimensional inspections using CMMs, micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, profilometers, and other precision measuring equipment to verify product conformity.
- Learn to and identify non-conforming materials, products, and processes.
- Learn and assist with calibration and control of inspection and measurement equipment.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as required.
- Communicate inspection results, quality concerns, and non-conformities clearly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality management system requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to learn and apply company procedures and customer-specific requirements.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members.
- Willingness and ability to learn new inspection equipment, software, processes, and quality requirements.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements as required.
- Ability to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and comply with applicable safety requirements.
The compensation range posted represents the full salary range for the role. Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and the position level ultimately offered.
