Family Engagement Specialist

Job Overview

As a Family Engagement Specialist at Easterseals Vermont, you will facilitate family meetings and provide in‑home support to strengthen families in their homes. You will coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody, and support them to meet the needs of their children in the moment. You will also call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.

You will work closely with the Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division while operating from our comfortable offices.

Your day‑to‑day duties include coordinating family meetings, providing coaching and support to parents, engaging extended family members, and creating genograms to map familial support networks.

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required.
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Full time, 40 hours per week Monday‑Friday with flexibility to support parents’ schedules.

Starting $20.96 hourly. Additional compensation is based upon experience and degree: $21.46 for Associate’s degree; $21.96 for Bachelor’s degree; $23.46 for Master’s degree.
