Standard Iron is seeking a Senior Advanced Design Engineer to lead complex product development initiatives and innovative engineering solutions that meet customer needs and manufacturing objectives. This role is ideal for an engineer with 5-10 years of experience who is ready to mentor emerging engineering talent, apply strong technical expertise, and collaborate across functions to bring products from concept through production.

As an Sr. ADE, your primary goal is technical development and ensure successful execution by:

• Owning full product development cycles from concept through production
• Creating and maintaining engineering models, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Leading design architecture and engineering decision-making
• Driving innovation in product performance, cost, and manufacturability

• Leading cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and sales
• Establishing project scope, timelines, and technical requirements
• Identifying risks and proactively implementing mitigation strategies
• Participating in customer and supplier discussions to ensure successful project outcomes

• Mentoring emerging engineering team members
• Providing technical guidance and design reviews
• Promoting engineering best practices and continuous improvement
• Leading development of innovative products and processes that improve performance and efficiency

• Advanced proficiency in FEA, structural design, and material selection
• Deep understanding of DFM, fabrication, and welding processes
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and fuel systems… and the applicable regulations
• Ability to independently manage assigned engineering projects and priorities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Expertise in CAD(Creo) modeling and engineering documentation

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 5-10 years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or a related environment
• Proven ability to lead projects and deliver results
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills
• Ability to balance technical requirements, customer expectations, and business objectives

• Work on innovative products that solve real-world customer challenges
