Job Title:
Batch Mixer
Shift: 4-10 hour days. 4:00am - 2:00pm, Monday - Thursday
Wages: $20.50/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Batch Mixer to join our production team. This role is responsible for preparing and mixing small batches of specialized materials used in the manufacturing of sensors for molten metals. The position requires careful measuring, mixing, and dispensing of raw materials, as well as maintaining clean and safe equipment and work areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately weigh and measure raw materials such as cement, water, and other additives for batch preparation.
- Perform small-batch mixing and dispensing of materials according to established formulas and production requirements.
- Handle and move bags of cement and related raw materials safely.
- Operate and monitor mixing equipment, tanks, and hoppers to ensure consistency and quality of batches.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of mixing tanks, hoppers, and associated equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Document batch information, material usage, and equipment cleaning in logs or production records.
- Assist with troubleshooting and report any equipment malfunctions or material inconsistencies to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent work history
- 1+ years previous experience in batch mixing, material handling, or similar production role preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and move bags of cement and other raw materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow formulas and procedures accurately.
- Familiarity with safe material handling and equipment cleaning practices.
- Basic math and measurement skills required.
- Dependable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/production setting with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as respirators, gloves, and safety glasses may be required.
- Climate controlled environment (63 degrees),
- Occasional heavy lifting
