As a Laser Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Fiber and CO2 laser equipment while ensuring quality production and efficient material handling.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate CNC Fiber and CO2 laser machines
- Verify material thickness and load material into the automated storage system
- Produce quality parts while meeting production standards
- Identify and correct machine alignment and cutting issues
- Troubleshoot minor programming issues independently
- Cross-train on multiple laser platforms and production cells
- Record production data using the computerized tracking system
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials
- Perform routine operator-level preventative maintenance
- Maintain equipment logs and report maintenance concerns
- Report production, quality, and material issues
- Assist other departments as business needs require
- Experience operating CNC laser equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and manufacturing documentation
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
