Brake Press Operator

Seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Hartland, WI. The ideal candidate will be skilled in reading blueprints, setting up and operating forming equipment, and verifying part accuracy using precision measuring tools. This position offers a great opportunity to join a stable manufacturing environment with long-term growth potential. Pay: $21 - $29/hour depending on experience Shift: 1st (6 am to 2 pm) & 2nd (2:30 pm to 11 pm) Benefits:

Key Responsibilities for Brake Press Operator:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to form production parts accurately.
  • Set up, program, and operate brake press forming equipment.
  • Position and align work pieces precisely in the machine.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Comply with all quality and safety regulations and production procedures.
Qualifications for Brake Press Operator:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of brake press operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and metric conversions.
  • Knowledge of European, Wila, and custom tooling preferred.
  • Experience with Safan and Accurpress press brakes desired.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, routings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and operate machinery.
  • Visual ability to perform detailed, close-range inspection work.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced factory/manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and airborne particles.
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals or humid conditions.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided and required.
