Pilot Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to set up and operate pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers. This role involves operating simple hoses, pumps, heaters, and centrifuges throughout testing processes, recording and documenting outputs from the equipment, and performing analytical testing. The successful candidate will work with team members to develop products per customer applications while following basic laboratory practices and maintaining a safe, clean working lab space.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate pilot equipment like evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers.

+ Operate hoses, pumps, heaters, and centrifuges during testing processes.

+ Record and document equipment outputs including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data.

+ Perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, crystal characterization, and microscopy.

+ Document all laboratory results and collaborate with team members on product development.

+ Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in any laboratory setting and testing procedures.

+ Base understanding of lab processes.

+ Ability to learn equipment and testing procedures.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in reverse osmosis and crystallization.

+ Knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry.

+ Open to candidates with multiple years of experience, entry-level, or no degree but lab experience.

Work Environment

Work in a lab environment with approximately 15 colleagues. The position requires working night shifts from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Initial training will occur on the first shift for a few weeks or months before transitioning to the night shift. Candidates should be open to working up to 12 hours per day and assisting on weekends as needed due to the 24/7 runtime of the pilot process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HARTLAND, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
