  • Process weekly multi-state payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately andtimely.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system.
  • Calculate new hire pay, termination pay and any adjustments to normalpayroll, process expensereimbursementsand setup garnishment deductions.
  • Verify accuracy of timekeeping records and work with the Billing Department to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries concerningtimekeeping, payroll,taxcalculations,vacationaccruals, etc.and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Conductregularpayroll and benefit audits to confirm payments, deductions, and billing are accurate.
  • Work with payroll provider and internal

    Payroll and Accounting Departments to resolve tax discrepancies.
  • Assist with the completion ofonline state registrations for new state income tax and unemployment tax with holdings.
  • Prepare and distribute weeklypayroll reportsto management.
  • Assistin the preparation of financial reports related to payroll andparticipatein audits when necessary.
  • Assistin the preparation and auditofyear-endW2and 1095C Forms, ensuring that these and other required notices are distributed timely.
  • Maintain knowledge offederal,stateand local payrollregulations. Ensure the company’s policies,procedure sand reporting are in compliance withthese regulations.
  • Streamline procedures within the department tofacilitateefficient processing of payroll data.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Develop documentation,to include“How To” documents, workflow processes, separation of duties for our current staff, with updates as the company grows to ensure best practices are maintained.
Education, Certifications, Licenses and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

    Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting,Businessor related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Experience with UKG Pro platform preferred.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll best practices and relevant regulations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll software and ability to effectively use it to process payroll.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on creating and manipulating

    Excelformulas and pivot tables.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability tomaintainstrict confidentialityregardingsensitive employee information.
  • Experience working in afast pacedand demanding environment.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High levelof professionalism and integrity.
Work Conditions
  • Work is performed in anoffice environment and requires the ability tooperatestandard office equipment such asacomputer,keyboard, mouse,phone, printer, scanner,copier, filing cabinet, etc.
  • Consists of sedentary work. Ability tolifeup to 10 pounds.
  • Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures or viewing a computer screen.
