Position: 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm Distribution Operator

Job Description

Responsible for a variety of functions within the warehouse department, including receiving, stocking, loading, unloading, picking, and operating heavy‑duty equipment such as forklifts.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and unload freight manually or with equipment, checking for damaged goods.
  • Verify quantity and quality of orders, and ensure items received match the documentation.
  • Deliver received products to appropriate locations and prepare them for shipment.
  • Ensure shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and staged for dispatch.
  • Verify that orders match pick lists and palletize products to facilitate customer receipt and efficient loading of trucks.
  • Transfer finished goods from storage areas to pallets for shipment and pick orders for distribution.
  • Replenish inventory by placing produced items in the correct warehouse locations promptly.
  • Assist with storage inventory, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
  • Respond to shipping requests from various departments and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Operate stand‑up forklift safely and meet all operational standards.
  • Package spools of wire, inspect finished products for quality, cut wire to specified footage, and respool for shipment.
  • Perform receiving, storage, and loading functions while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Use a wireless scanner to process orders and work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification with at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to grasp fine objects and demonstrate adequate vision (close, color, depth perception, focus adjustment).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, and noisy conditions.
  • Capability to climb up and down frequently and navigate tight spaces with mobile equipment around pedestrians.
  • Schedule:

    Monday‑Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in hot, cold, and noisy environments.
  • Stand for long periods.
  • Climb frequently.
  • Operate equipment in tight spaces.
  • See color accurately and perceive near and far distances for precise pick and placement.
