The South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Academic Success Coordinator to join the Center for Student Success team. This role supports students in developing academic skills, time management strategies, and overall success habits. The coordinator will work individually with students and in group settings, supervise various academic intervention programs, and assist with administrative responsibilities.
Evening and weekend work is required.
As a key employee in the Center for Academic Success, this position will uphold the mission of the Center by developing and implementing numerous support strategies. The Center supports and promotes, through multiple avenues, GSSM students' academic success and enjoyment in life-long learning.
Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree and experience in student service programs.
- Experience in tutoring, coaching, or assisting in Athletics, Residence Life, Student Life, Academic Support, or community organizations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with and mentoring teens in an educational or support setting.
Additional Requirements:
- Some weekend and evening work required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A major in Education or STEM field is preferred.
