Job Description

Job Title: Brand Ambassador

Job Summary: The brand ambassador facilitates effective communication, enhances the district’s public image, and fosters a sense of community and collaboration among all stakeholders involved in the educational process. Celebrate district success, administrator success, teacher success, and student success. This role helps fulfill the CUSD 50 Strategic Plan Goal #3:
Communication and Community Relations.

Qualifications
  • Overall evaluation rating of proficient or higher, consistently demonstrating effective teaching practice.
Evaluation

The supervisor shall annually evaluate the team leader. Such evaluation shall be reviewed with the team leader and made part of his/her permanent record.

Terms of Employment

This is a nine‑month stipend position. Pending the review of school needs and the evaluation process, the term may be extended annually.

Compensation and Benefits

Stipend Amount: $2,110.00

Expected Outcomes
  • Facilitate collaboration among staff members to highlight building success.
  • Increase engagement between families and the school community.
  • Build a stronger sense of school and district community.
  • Support the achievement of the District’s Communication Plan.
  • Showcase and celebrate building successes and events.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Share the vision of the district and share responsibility for the district's success as a whole.
  • Understand the district branding and the mission and goals of the district.
  • Establish a relationship and open communication with the building staff.
  • Create a weekly connection schedule with each grade level team on content to share publicly.
  • Develop training sessions with teachers regarding district branding, social media engagement, and best photography practices.
  • Serve as the building social media point of contact.
  • Develop a posting schedule. Minimally, post 4 times per week that include 3-4 photos, engaging text, and use #Harvard Rising and the specific hashtag associated with your school.
  • Incorporate appreciation days throughout the year in social media posts.
  • Post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Live Feed.
  • Engage staff and community in posts that support district and building initiatives with information, celebrating achievements, and giving the public a glimpse into the classroom.
  • Promote and protect the school’s brand image and reputation by ensuring consistent messaging.
  • Model and encourage colleagues to engage with social media.
  • Collaborate regularly with other building brand ambassadors to share ideas and strategies for engaging staff and the community.
  • Meet monthly with the Director of Public Relations and Communications to review social media statistics and adjust strategies based on the data.
  • Participate in the district train‑the‑trainer model to facilitate professional development for teachers.
  • Review past content from previous years to understand the district and school’s voice.
  • Share progress and updates with the building principal quarterly.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly Professional Development with the Communications Department and other Brand Ambassadors.
