We are seeking a full-time Residential Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team! In this vital role, you will champion an exceptional customer experience for every prospective homeowner, treating their loan application with the utmost care and efficiency. Your mission will be to navigate the process towards a swift and accurate “Clear to Close”while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Furthermore, you’ll provide crucial support to our Mortgage Lender, enabling them to focus on building strong customer relationships and driving sales.

Residential Mortgage Loan Processor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently complete all necessary data input into the loan documentation software, adhering strictly to regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Take ownership of ensuring all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and in full compliance with both company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of document accuracy, including impeccable spelling, precise referencing of collateral, and meticulous attention to detail in all supporting file documentation.
  • Prepare new loan documentation requests and consistently meet critical deadlines using the current documentation software, primarily for generating closing disclosures and supporting initial and re-disclosures. This involves diligent information gathering, proactive requests for additional documentation, and thorough research as needed based on the complexity of each file. Utilize processing checklists as essential tracking tools and guides throughout the process.
  • Thoroughly verify all loan file documentation, including but not limited to: confirming clear title work, ensuring proper insurance coverage is in place, and verifying that property taxes have been paid for all associated collateral.
  • Manage post-closing responsibilities efficiently, including but not limited to: accurately inputting loan information onto the core system, managing funding procedures, and preparing the complete file and documents for barcoding and scanning. Employ file organization checklists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Residential Mortgage Loan Processor Qualifications and Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field is highly preferred.
  • A strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using loan documentation software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or a related field is a plus.
