Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license/certification in Illinois
  • Experience in educational settings, particularly K-12 schools
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish required
  • A passion for supporting students' communication development
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
  • Available to work Monday-Friday, full school hours
  • Ability to commit from August through end of November, with possible extension
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed SLPs in implementing therapy plans within the school environment
  • Support students' communication goals through individualized and group activities
  • Foster positive working relationships with teachers, students, and families
  • Document student progress according to district and state guidelines
  • Provide bilingual support for Spanish-speaking students and families
  • Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times
