Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Harvard, IL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Weekly pay: $1,630 average (top earners up to $2,000)
• Hours per week: 50+ hours
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.60 per mile (2,000 miles per week)
• Solo Stops Pay: $26.00 per stop (15 stops per week)
• Per Diem Pay: $40.00 per night (1‑2 nights per week)
• Overnight stays booked at Ryder hotel
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday; AM/PM shifts available
• Sign‑on Bonus: $1,500 at 30 days and $1,500 at 90 days
• Loyalty Bonus: $2,500 at 6 months and $2,500 at 1 year
• Paid weekly

• 36 months or newer trucks, 24/7 roadside maintenance
• Fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

• Drivers are the Captain — make safety decisions, job is protected

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/Unload freight or assist as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 21 years of age or older
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A verifiable experience: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
