Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA

Overview

Certified Nursing Assistant (NA) – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, full‑time, at The Alden Network.

Pay: $18.50–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies. Work with Charge Nurses, Supervisors, and Directors of Nursing to maintain high quality care.

• Deliver daily nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents.
• Follow nursing procedures, protocols, and dress code; maintain a warm and calm environment.
• Assist in developing and monitoring written care plans for each resident.
• Participate in resident care conferences, resident councils, and family meetings.
• Perform measurements and record vital signs, intake/output, and skin condition.
• Notify appropriate staff of changes in resident status and hazardous conditions.
• Assist with resident transfer, bed changes, and personal belongings, using transfer belt when required.
• Support resident self‑care, rehabilitation, and end‑of‑life needs.

• Completion of an accredited nursing arts program (diploma or certificate).
• Minimum age of 16, reliable, honest, and trustworthy.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certificate, or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong communication skills and tact when dealing with residents, families, and staff.
• Disposition to make independent decisions when necessary.

• Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Maintain good general health and emotional stability.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Exposure to infectious waste and diseases may occur; follow safety protocols.
