• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulae, stomas, soft tissue injuries, and other wound types.
• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities related to wound care, treatments, prevention, and assessments.
• Assess and document wound status and skin care.
• Administer or assist with wound treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Educate facility staff on pressure ulcer prevention.
• Coordinate wound care services, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Participate in developing and evaluating patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with nursing procedures and protocols.
• Supervise wound care team members and oversee wound assessments.
• Participate in quality assurance and staff training activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification or certification within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices.
• Interest or experience in elderly care.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with people.
• Leadership and supervisory skills.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness.

• Ability to move intermittently and cope with mental and emotional stress.
• Good sight and hearing, or use of prosthetics.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment.
• Exposure to infectious waste and diseases.
