Overview
Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with inquiries and problem resolution. Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.
PositionFull-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate with hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and management, showing respect and teamwork.
- Collaborates with staff to create a positive customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, lifting) in compliance with laws.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May assist customers exterior to the building or access exterior storage areas as needed.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit from personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
