School Psychologist in Harvey, LA

Overview

Step into an impactful role supporting student success as a School Psychologist for a contract assignment during the  school year. This onsite opportunity is based near Harvey, LA in the New Orleans area. Starting August 3, 2026, you ll play a key role in helping students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically within a welcoming school community.

• Active and current Louisiana DOE certification required
• Minimum credentialing: ability to pass district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting
• Previous experience or strong knowledge of school psychologists best practices
• Comfort with varied assignments across one or more schools (school/caseload details TBD)
• Collaborative mindset for working with educators, families, and students

• Deliver comprehensive psychological services including assessments, counseling, and interventions for students (age range and caseload to be determined)
• Partner with teachers and administrators to design and implement strategies supporting student learning and wellbeing
• Support the development and facilitation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain thorough records per district and professional standards
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times
• Work full time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, according to the school calendar
• Participate in a streamlined interview process, with quick decision turnaround
