Salary $100,000 - $125,000 per year
Responsibilities- Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, invoices, and management accounts.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and systems that align with the company s business goals.
- Carry out regular financial audits to ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, stakeholders, and executives.
- Develop and manage financial systems/models and carry out business modelling and risk assessments.
- Control and forecast income and expenditure.
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A CPA, CMA, or other finance-related certifications are highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position within the Construction industry
- Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial planning software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- An ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
