The Operations Manager role at Hills Daniels & Associates is pivotal in ensuring seamless and efficient law firm operations. This position is designed to support the firm’s mission by overseeing daily activities, refining processes, and enhancing productivity. Your leadership will directly impact client satisfaction, team efficiency, and overall firm success. With operational excellence at the core of our promise to clients, this role is crucial in maintaining and elevating service standards.
What you’ll do:
- Operational Oversight: Own the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring workflows run smoothly, priorities are clear, and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Reporting & Accountability: Build, manage, and maintain reporting around new cases, settlements, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing leadership with clear visibility into firm performance.
- SOP Implementation: Create, refine, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency across teams.
- Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate with external vendors and service providers (including technology platforms) to support reliable and effective firm operations.
- Performance Tracking: Conduct quarterly performance reviews and manage metrics tied to productivity, caseload balance, and team performance across the firm.
- KPI Development: Partner with leadership to design, implement, and maintain a KPI dashboard that tracks progress against firm goals and highlights areas for improvement.

Collaboration:
Work closely with firm leadership to align operational initiatives with strategic objectives, serving as a trusted partner in execution and accountability.
What we’re looking for:
- Law Firm
Experience:
Prior experience in law firm operations is strongly preferred, ideally with 2–3+ years in a similar role supporting attorneys, paralegals, and firm leadership in a fast-paced environment. - Operational Expertise: Proven ability to build, refine, document, and enforce SOPs, establish accountability across teams, and create operational structure where it’s needed most.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable working in a Microsoft 365, PC-based environment, with the ability to quickly learn and manage tools such as Ring Central, Case Status, and Connecteam (or comparable systems).
