Chapter Culinary Arts Teacher

Position: Chapter 74 Culinary Arts Teacher
Cape Cod Tech is hiring a Culinary Arts Instructor to join the Culinary team. Candidates should posses strong content knowledge, classroom management skills, as well as have a desire to teach the next generation of Chefs. The emphasizes preparing students for careers in the Culinary field and obtaining Serv Safe certification. The position involves working collaboratively with other instructors to facilitate the operation of the students run restaurant, develop curriculum and lessons, and ensure sanitation and safe food handling practices.

Prerequisites requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years of full-time employment experience directly related to Culinary Arts and possession of a current certification in food sanitation. Teaching experience preferred.

Although licensed candidates holding a Chapter 74 teaching license is preferred, non-licensed applicants are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for a 1 year waiver to complete the process to attain a Chapter 74 Preliminary license. All candidates must pass CORI and fingerprinting background checks.

Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, located Harwich, MA, offers a robust hands-on technical education to high school students living in a twelve town district on Cape Cod. Must pass a CORI
Must pass Fingerprint screening
Must pass MA Chapter 74 Writtten and Practical Exams in Culinary within hte first year of hire.
Must pass the MA Vocational Literacy Test within the first year of hire.
Must obtain a Professional Chapter 74 License within five years of Employment at Cape Cod Tech
