Job Description

Cape Cod Tech is hiring a Culinary Arts Instructor to join the Culinary team. Candidates should possess strong content knowledge, classroom management skills, and a desire to teach the next generation of chefs. The position emphasizes preparing students for careers in the culinary field and obtaining Serv Safe certification. The instructor will work collaboratively with other instructors to facilitate the operation of the students‑run restaurant, develop curriculum and lesson plans, and ensure sanitation and safe food handling practices.

• Facilitate operation of the students‑run restaurant.
• Develop curriculum and lesson plans.
• Ensure sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support instructional goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of full‑time employment experience directly related to culinary arts.
• Current certification in food sanitation (Serv Safe).
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Preferred:
  Chapter 74 teaching license; non‑licensed applicants eligible for a 1‑year waiver to obtain a Chapter 74 Preliminary license.
• Must pass CORI and fingerprinting background checks.
• Must pass MA Chapter 74 written and practical exams in culinary within first year of hire.
• Must pass MA Vocational Literacy Test within first year of hire.
• Must obtain a Professional Chapter 74 License within five years of employment.
