Job Description

The Community School at Cape Cod Tech is seeking a licensed Cosmetology Instructor to teach in our adult evening program beginning in September 2026. This part‑time evening teaching position supports adult learners preparing for Massachusetts licensure and employment in the cosmetology field.

Class Schedule
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Instructional Environment

Classes are held in a fully equipped cosmetology salon and a dedicated theory classroom at Cape Cod Tech in Harwich. Facilities and materials support both hands‑on skill development and classroom‑based instruction aligned with Massachusetts licensure requirements.

Qualifications
  • Massachusetts Cosmetology Instructor license (required)
  • Experience teaching or mentoring adult learners (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Massachusetts cosmetology standards and licensure requirements
  • Ability to create a supportive, professional learning environment
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
Responsibilities
  • Deliver hands‑on and theory‑based instruction aligned with MA requirements.
  • Support students in skill development, professionalism, and exam readiness.
  • Oversee and coordinate student apprenticeships, including communication with participating salons and monitoring student progress.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, apprenticeship, and instructional records.
  • Collaborate with Community School staff as needed.
