* Job Summary:

* Job Description:
*** + Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. + Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO. + Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding. + Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products.
+ Performs all hot lab responsibilities. + Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards. + Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort. + Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam. + Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam. + Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program. + Provide and issue films when appropriate.
+ Forward PET related data to Radiologist upon completion of exam. + Refilm cases as time allows + Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise. + Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
** Required Qualifications*
* ** What you need:** + Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which he/she is employed to work + Must be certified in CPR + Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB. + A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must be proficient in starting IVs. + Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
