As an Activities Assistant at Regal Care at Harwich, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our patients and residents by creating a dynamic and engaging environment that fosters socialization, recreation, and wellness. Our company is committed to providing the best possible medical care in a comfortable and home-like setting, and we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
About the Role:- Assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of activities, outings, and events for patients and residents, including recreational programs, social events, and community outings
- Develop and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and exercise programs, to promote socialization, physical and mental stimulation, and relaxation
- Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a monthly activity calendar that meets the diverse needs and interests of our patients and residents
- Supervise and assist with the setup and cleanup of activity areas, including arranging furniture, decorations, and supplies
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, vendors, and sponsors to cultivate partnerships and resources for activities and events
- Monitor and record participation rates, feedback, and concerns to improve activities and services
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, recording, and reporting activity data
- Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including attendance, participation, and evaluations
- Participate in community outings and activities as needed
- Provide support with daily living activities, such as escorting patients and residents to activities, meals, and appointments
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures

- n/a level of education or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with varying levels of cognitive and physical ability
