Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the production of high‑quality components. The role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient and cost‑effective manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

Responsibilities
  • Process Development:
    Develop, optimize, and standardize processes, tooling/fixturing, and equipment for new and legacy products, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Design and implement manufacturing procedures, methods, and standards; and monitor their proper execution.
  • New Product Introductions:
    Manage routed processes, BOMs, in‑process drawings, gaging, and the design/procurement/manufacture of special tooling. Prepare for upcoming jobs in advance of scheduled start dates.
  • CNC Operations:
    Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of CNC machine operations and the specific applications of various machines to develop accurate processes.
  • Equipment Selection:
    Select and recommend appropriate machining equipment, tooling, and fixturing to support all departments and processes.
  • Fixture Design:
    Design and implement fixtures and tooling to improve part accuracy, reduce setup times, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Process Validation:
    Conduct process validation and capability studies to verify robustness and reliability. Implement quality control measures and analyze production data to address quality issues. Collaborate with QA to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, routings, and quality plans. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training guides.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. Lead setup reduction initiatives and stay updated on advances in manufacturing technology and practices.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure smooth product launch and incorporate feedback from prototype and production runs.
  • Problem Solving:
    Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Other Duties:
    Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation.
  • Understanding of CNC machining and secondary processes such as heat treat, plating, and NDT.
  • CAD skills required;
    Siemens NX is a plus. CAM skills recommended.
  • Familiarity with ERP software (M2M preferred).
  • Strong GD&T skills.
  • Knowledge of different materials for processing and root cause analysis.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards and the 8‑D problem‑solving method is a plus.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is typically $86,053.09 – $ annually, with bonuses, gain‑share of 5% target, and/or equity potentially eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.
