Behavior Technician – Total Spectrum, LLC
We are looking for a dedicated Behavior Technician to work part‑time in the Pilsen, Chicago, IL area. This entry‑level role offers the opportunity to help children with autism learn, grow, and develop communication, socialization, and self‑help skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA) play‑based therapy.
Responsibilities- Assist children (ages 2‑22) with autism and special needs in their homes, schools, or a Center.
- Provide ABA‑based play therapy under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Collect and record behavior data, create and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Support the family and caregivers during sessions, provide education on ABA techniques.
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment while engaging with clients and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 35 lb.
- High School Diploma or GED (education requirements).
- Reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.
- Availability for part‑time work any day M‑F from 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (typical hours 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays; weekend availability a bonus).
- Starting pay $20 / hr with potential for higher rates with experience.
- Eligible to pursue RBT certification.
- Age 18 or older (on or before first day of employment).
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- Consistent weekly schedule in mornings, afternoons, or evenings.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Additional desirable qualifications: bilingual (English/Spanish), background in psychology, education, special education, or a related field, and prior child‑care or related experience.
Physical demands include the ability to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, run, and push, pull or lift up to 35 lb. The role may require engaging in movement to support client needs.
Compensation & Benefits- Up to 15 days paid time off (PTO) after 90 days for full‑time employees.
- Eligibility for sick leave for part‑time employees.
