Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role diagnoses mechanical and facility-related issues, replaces parts, tests and adjusts systems, and performs regular preventive and predictive maintenance. The technician also supports the safety team by performing facility-related safety tasks and accurately completing safety reports.
Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in accordance with established safety, preventive, and predictive maintenance procedures.
- Diagnose equipment and facility problems, identify root causes, and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and assemblies, and verify proper operation through testing and adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including equipment systems and boilers/HVAC systems, as assigned.
- Use power and hand tools safely and effectively to perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
- Support facility upkeep by performing building maintenance and repair activities, including painting and minor structural repairs.
- Assist with maintenance of hydraulics and other mechanical systems as needed.
- Conduct mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting using schematics and other technical documentation where applicable.
- Perform work duties in coordination with the safety team and complete accurate safety reports and documentation.
- Support maintenance of both interior and exterior areas of the facility, including repairs to equipment, structures, and grounds.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices while working on equipment and within the facility.
- At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- At least 2 years of mechanical repair experience on equipment systems or boilers/HVAC systems.
- Demonstrated experience using power and hand tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Experience documenting and completing safety reports accurately and on time.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills for production and facility equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
- Experience with facilities maintenance and building maintenance activities.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance instructions, procedures, and technical information.
- Strong commitment to working safely and following safety protocols.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in both industrial and facility maintenance, ideally with a roughly 50/50 split.
- Electrical maintenance experience, including basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience performing painting and minor facility repairs.
- Comfort working with CNC machines, inspection equipment, and assembly stations from a maintenance perspective.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with maintenance team members and the safety team.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and work orders effectively.
