About the RolePosition Summary: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will support our Food & Beverage and Naturals divisions, handling daily customer service activities from order to payment and fulfillment. They will support account management for all assigned accounts and communicate proactively with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and supply chain teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, managing order receipt, material availability, pricing, shipping, and reporting activities. Review customer forecasts and upload data into SAP and/or Sage.
- Maintain systems such as Lotus Notes, Sage, and SAP, including managing new and lost business, production data, and SAP master data. Recommend system improvements where applicable.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to review order status, manage changes, and communicate shipment updates to customers. Provide documentation like invoices and certificates of analysis.
- Work with the credit department to process credits, debits, and billing inquiries promptly.
- Address customer complaints, ensuring proper follow-up and communication with relevant teams.
- Assist in training and supporting customer care procedures and profiles. Provide backup support as needed.
- Collaborate with sales and account managers during trial orders.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
- At least three years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment (not call center).
- Experience in the flavor industry is desirable.
- Knowledge of international shipments and foreign languages is a plus.
- Experience with order processing and proficiency in MS Office and systems like SAP, Sage, JD Edwards, or AS400.
- Effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to Springfield, MO for initial training and quarterly visits.
