We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent service centre team in Haslemere. Moving away from rigid corporate pressures, we offer a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary (within our £35k–£45k package depending on experience), permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (strictly no weekends), and full company-funded MOT Tester training.

Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Haslemere workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing
    , scheduled maintenance, and safety inspections across a diverse range of vehicles.
  • Tackle all aspects of mechanical repairs
    , ranging efficiently from light servicing to heavy component replacements (clutches, cambelts, suspension, etc.).
  • Utilize state-of-the‑art diagnostic equipment to systematically troubleshoot, isolate, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Complete digital job cards accurately and collaborate with the workshop team to maintain a smooth daily workflow.
What You Need
  • Qualifications &

    Experience:

    NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with a proven track record handling light servicing through to heavy mechanical work. F-Gas certification is preferred.
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
    An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required (full training provided).
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
  • Key Strengths: Strong problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail, versatility, and a positive team-player attitude.

Situated in Haslemere, our facility offers an easy daily commute for candidates travelling from Hindhead, Godalming, Liphook, Midhurst, Petersfield, Cranleigh, Milford, and the surrounding Surrey and West Sussex areas.
